User's Guide to anitrade.org

Introduction: This website is for selling/trading all of your unwanted anime and japan related items or buying from others who have posted an item. You are also encouraged to find people in your area with similar interests by contacting sellers. This service is free to use and does not require signing up for anything.

The general idea of this website is like the sell/trade section of a newspaper, except you can post for free and it's completely for anime and Japan related items. All posts are like a newspaper ad in that you give the info for the item, your location, and your contact information for someone in your area to contact you if they are interested in your item. The point of writing your location is so that no one has to deal with shipping if they don't want to and you can make deals with only people in your area and maybe make new friends too! You can also choose to have the posting up for a week, 2 weeks (a fortnight), a month, or 2 months, after which point the post will be automatically taken off of the website. I suggest only putting something up for a week or two and re-post when the time is up if you haven't made a deal yet.

Current Features:

- sell or trade your own anime or japan related items by making a post

- NEW: sign up to receive an e-mail when new items are posted.

- Choose from many categories from video to plushies to kitchenware. By clicking on a category you can see all of the items that are in that category, or you can type in the search box to find a particular item or title.

- Tell us that an item is inappropriate (maybe someone posted some spam) by clicking on "inappropriate" for the post in question. We DO NOT want people selling or trading bootleg items and/or burned DVDs, so please don't do this yourself, and please click the "inappropriate" link if you find any such items.

- Recommend an item to others by clicking on "recommend to others" for a posted item. After a certain number of people have done the same, it will go to the "recommended" page. You may want to do this if you already own an item being sold and like it enough to let other people know it is good.

- Click on “editor’s picks” to see what we would recommend to you of the items posted. Once we get rolling and have more items being posted, be sure to check there weekly for items we recommend.

- Look at adult items (over 18 only!) by clicking “show” in the top right corner of the main page. The first time you load the page adult items will be hidden and that information is also at the top right hand corner of the main page. When choosing to show adult items, all non-adult items will also be shown as normal. Remember, there may not be adult items to show when you click this button but you may leave it on to see adult items in the future.

- Submit a review for anime, manga, a CD or anything else anime/Japan related which will be put up under "user reviews" after it has been screened for content. Right now you can find a review for Slayers TRY VOX CD for you to check out. To submit a review, e-mail it to filiadragongurl@hotmail.com with a name you'd like it to be put under. When there's more than one review we will give credit to those who sent them in. To give you an idea of how it will be, the currently posted review will say "submitted by filiadragongurl".

- If you have any questions or suggestions, please either click on "contact aniTrade" at the bottom of the page on the side panel to e-mail, or send your e-mail to filiadragongurl@hotmail.com with an appropriate subject. E-mail received with no subject or a subject that looks like junk mail may be ignored.
